Yes, all players, both OP Soccer Club and non-OP Soccer Club players need to register.
We don’t want costs to be a factor in if you should come or not, plus the time commitment from parents. OP Soccer Club pre-tryouts are free for all to attend.
Players should come ready to play for one hour with soccer cleats, shin guards and long socks. Please bring plenty of water, as it can get hot on turf. A soccer ball is not needed, soccer balls will be provided by the club.
OP Soccer Club is expecting to announce the location of tryouts the week of May 25th. In the past we have been at Shawnee Mission East and all Shawnee Mission School District fields are closed.
We will notify everyone registered for tryouts by email. We will also post updates on our Facebook page- facebook.com/OverlandParkSoccerClub. If tryouts are delayed or need to be rescheduled, we will send out an email and post on Facebook.
Coaches will begin to offer positions on their team starting immediately after the first day of tryouts. The top ranked team will offer positions first and so forth. With a lot of teams within an age group can take a while as teams get formed. For some teams this might happen until the last day of tryouts. OP Soccer Club will make every effort that your son/daughter gets placed on a team. Players selected by a coach will receive details from the coach or team manager on how to register.
Please email the director of coaching at timc@opsoccerclub.org or reach out to our office manager at info@opsoccerclub.org.
